Before entering real estate, Rona traveled the world as a competitive tennis player, reaching as high as number six in the world junior (ITF) rankings before moving on to the professional tennis circuit (WITA). During her travels, Rona mastered four languages, and became proficient in several others. This became a powerful asset in the next phase of her life – luxury real estate. Focusing on an international clientele, Rona began her real estate career in 1993.

Soon after she entered the business, Rona founded her own luxury real estate company – The Daniels Group – which was known for quality properties, unparalleled service, memorable marketing, and exceptional feasibility studies. In 2000, The Daniels Group merged with EWM International Realty, South Florida's largest real estate firm and a Christie's affiliate.
